Specifications
Glan-Thompson polarizing beam splitting cube uses two cemented calcite prisms to separate unpolarized light into s-polarized (45° deflection) and p-polarized (transmitted) beams. With a transmission rate higher than 90% in a rectangular metal housing, it is ideally suited for applications requiring dual linear polarization states such as interferometry and laser systems.
This type of Glan-Thompson polarizer configuration allows the s-polarized beam to output at 45 degrees to the straight-through p-polarized beam. They provide high polarization purity and high transmittance in both outgoing beams. This type of polarizer is very practical if both linear polarization states need to be used simultaneously.
