Plano-Convex Lenses

Specifications

Plano-convex lenses have two surfaces with different curvatures. They are usually made of transparent materials such as optical glass, with a refractive index higher than that of the surrounding air. When light passes through a plano-convex lens, it refracts at the transparent surfaces due to the lens shape and material properties, thus changing the propagation direction of light and eventually forming an image of the object.
